Dear Parents,

I hope I find you well.  This is not the spring break week we were all dreaming of for sure.  While listening to the news the last few weeks, I could feel my anxiety building as I heard about all of the new Coronavirus cases and shelter in place rulings.  I had to turn off the news and reset.  It is a great time to remind ourselves that God is in control and He has this.  We need to trust in Him!  I will miss seeing all of you and your precious children, but will embrace this situation and try to slow down and enjoy my loved ones a little more.  I hope you can all do the same.

We have been having Zoom conferences as a staff and feel very confident that we will still be able to educate your child through this trying time.  There will be learning packets and video lessons to help us accomplish this.  Each classroom teacher will be in contact with you to let you know how this will be happening if they haven’t already.  If you have not picked up your packet with lessons that go through next week, they are in bins out front of the school.  I encourage you to work on a little each day.  I know that homeschooling can be difficult for parents and we want to be there for you.

During this new challenge, we at ATC are doing our best to look at the big picture of the repercussions that the mandated school closing will have on all of us.  First, I want to let you know that ATC operates under the Ohio Department of Education just like the public schools.  We are not under the same governing body as preschools and daycares that operate under Jobs and Family Services.  We were mandated to shut down and will reopen when, just like the public schools, we are allowed.  It is the desire of ATC to pay our staff during this time.  If paying tuition will create a financial hardship for your family, please let me know and we will do our best to assist you.  Payment may be made online, by mailing a check or dropping one off in the locked box outside of the east entrance doors.  We thank you for continuing to pay your tuition.

On another note, we want to let you know that we have put Summer Camp and Kindergarten Enrichment registration on hold until we know what summer is going to look like for ATC students.  If you have paid anything and these programs are cancelled, we will forward that money to next year’s tuition or refund it, whichever you would like.

We will continue to be in communication with you, and your teachers are still working hard at home providing lessons, activities, videos, and online support for your children so that they can continue to grow and learn.  We need to be united like as always to have the ATC family who rallies together and supports each other.  Now it will just be from a further distance apart.  I am praying for peace, good health, and comfort for all of our families.  I should add patience in there too!

God bless you all.  If there is anything I can do to help your family, please let me know.  My cell number is listed below if you need to get ahold of me for any reason.  I am also checking my email regularly.
